IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTERNATIONAL CONTRACT, ACCEPTANCE TESTING OF THE VIBRATION MONITORING AND DIAGNOSTICS SYSTEM FOR REACTOR COOLANT PUMPS FOR KOZLODUY NPP HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT

On 17-18 February, the acceptance testing of the vibration monitoring and diagnostics system for reactor coolant pumps (VMDS RCP) for Unit 5 of Kozloduy NPP was carried out at the site of SRPA “Impulse”.

VMDS RCP is intended for monitoring and diagnosing of vibrational parameters of RCPs, as well as technological parameters from the unit’s process information system for early detection of abnormal states of mechanical and electrical parts of RCPs.

During the testing, the following was assessed: the compliance of the supply set of the VMDS RCP equipment with the requirements of the terms of reference, the normative documentation covering this class of products and the readiness to be supplied for the intended use.

The commission consisting of the representatives of Kozloduy NPP and SRPA “Impulse” performed checks in the full scope stipulated by the testing programme for VMDS RCP.

Based on the results of the testing, the commission stated that VMDS RCP submitted for the testing meet the design, technological, operational, programme documents, the requirements of the terms of reference completely and is ready to be supplied to Unit 5 of Kozloduy NPP.
