History of the SRPA "Impulse"

The history of the company is closely linked to the establishment and development of computing technology for monitoring and controlling technological processes.

1956

In 1959, in Siverskodonetsk the branch of control computing equipment design engineering bureau was established with the purpose of automation of technological processes at the chemical plant “Azot”.

Development of control computing complexes: “Automatic dispatching system” for Siverskodonetsk PA “Azot”; “Automatic operator” for Chernorechensk Chemical Plant; “Adviser of a blast furnace master” for “Azovstal” Plant, Dnipropetrovsk, Kryvyi Rih Iron and Steel Works.

In 1963, the branch was reorganized into Research Institute for Control Computers (NIIUVM).

Development of M-2000, M-3000 computers, which were the first computers in the USSR with the third-generation architecture (IBM/360). Development and commissioning of the first in the USSR automated flight ticket selling network Sirena-1.

Development and start of the batch manufacturing of control mini-computers М-6000, М-7000 for such branches as: thermal power engineering, oil and gas, chemical, aerospace, etc

In 1976, works started under the international program for creation of a series of small control computers. Before 1990, more than 10 000 of SМ-1, SM-1M, SМ-2, SМ-2М, SМ-1210, SМ-1634, TVSО-1, PS 1001 complexes were produced based on developments by SRPA “Impulse”.

At 22 power units of NPPs in Eastern European countries, redundant control complexes SM-2M were commissioned. Basic components of the Microprocessor Instrumentation and Control System MSKU M were developed.

The new-generation system SVRK-M2 based on the NRC “ImCore” successfully passed factory acceptance testing.
