Solutions for nuclear power plants
Based on half a century of experience, SRPA “Impulse” offers innovative engineering solutions/services for the implementation of control and safety functions for nuclear power plant power units.
Standby diesel generator station automatic control system (SDGS ACS)
SDGS ACS is one of the main parts of emergency power supply systems of all channels of the NPP power unit’s safety system.
Automatic regulating system of a turbine division
Performs automatic control of turbine section process parameters and functional group control of the electrohydraulic turbine control system.
Turbine regulating system
Performs automatic and semi-automatic turbine turning, synchronization of the turbine generator with the power grid, maintenance of the turbine generator parameters at a given level in start-up and operating modes, remote control of the turbine control valves by operator commands, protective actions in emergency situations.
System to record important operation parameters
The system is designated to store and provide personnel with information on parameters of NPP power units in accident and post-accident conditions of design and beyond design accidents.
Centre for technical support of operators
I&C for information communication of CTP with adjacent systems and for presentation of state of unit parameters.
Control and safety functions for nuclear power plant power units:
- automatic and remote control of normal operation process systems;
- control of neutron-physical and thermal-hydraulic parameters of the reactor primary circuit;
- measurement of neutron power and reactor reactivity;
- identification of initial events leading to disruptions in normal operation and control of power unit safety systems;
- power reduction and reactor shutdown in response to warning and emergency protection signals;
- monitoring of the technical condition and operating modes of process equipment;
- monitoring of safety parameters and the condition of reactor systems during design basis and beyond design basis accidents (including those associated with severe fuel damage);
- collection, processing, and storage of information about: the occurrence of disturbances in normal operation, accidents, and their development; actual algorithms of operation of systems important for safety;
- actions taken by personnel to eliminate detected disturbances.
The functions are implemented using digital instrumentation and control systems (I&C) based on the MSKU 4M hardware and software platform, which includes: PS5140 and PS5150 series workstations; MSKU 4 series industrial controllers; communication equipment; software for various functional purposes.
