ACCEPTANCE TESTS OF PROCESS INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR KHMELNYTSKYI NPP UNIT 2 HAVE BEEN CONDUNTED

In March 2026, on site of SRPA “Impulse” in Kyiv, the commission consisting of the representatives of NNEGC “Energoatom”, Khmelnytskyi NPP, SSTC NRS, and SRPA “Impulse” conducted the acceptance tests of modified process information system for the unit 2 of Khmelnytskyi NPP.

The materials of preliminary tests were studied, the necessary experiments were conducted, the completeness and quality of technical documentation were checked.

After the work, the commission concluded that the equipment under tests and its documentation set fully meets the requirements set forth in terms of reference, regulations, rules and standards on nuclear and radiation safety (including the requirements for cybersecurity).

Based on the positive results of the tests, the commission recommended the process information system to be supplied to the NPP.

The process information system performs all the basic functions for reliable and fail-safe operation of the unit: documents technological process parameters and characteristics in all modes of operation of a unit, provides information to personnel, monitors both critical safety functions and basic safety functions, calculates and analyzes technical and economical parameters of equipment, provides reference information about technological equipment.
