PREPARATION TO SUPPLY LOCOMOTIVE SAFETY SYSTEMS ІMPROTRAIN-250 FOR LTG CARGO AND LTG LINK (LITHUANIA)
SRPA “Impulse” has started manufacturing of the On-board locomotive safety systems SLB ImproTRAIN-250 within the framework of agreements with LTG Cargo and LTG Link (Lithuania) regarding replacement of outdated locomotive safety systems in rolling stocks.
ImproTRAIN-250 is a modern on-board system designed to improve safety, to automate control of safety functions for locomotives and multiple-unit rolling stocks.
Within the framework of the agreement with LTG Cargo the implementation of 111 systems in the following types of rolling stocks is planned:
- ER20CF – a mainline locomotive, manufactured by Siemens AG;
- TEM-LTH – a diesel shunter, manufactured by CZ Loco, a.s.;
- ČME3M – a diesel shunter, manufactured by ČKD Praha;
- TEM-TMH – a diesel shunter.
Within the framework of the agreement with LTG Link the replacement of 35 systems in rolling stocks is planned:
- 620M – a railbus (railcar), manufactured by PESA Bydgoszcz SA;
- 630MiL – a diesel multiple unit, manufactured by PESA Bydgoszcz SA;
- 730ML – a hydraulic drive 3-unit diesel multiple unit manufactured by PESA Bydgoszcz SA;
- EJ575 – a double-deck AC electric multiple unit manufactured by Škoda Transportation of Škoda Holding.
Implementation of ImproTRAIN-250 on a rolling stock will allow to:
- Increase the safety of movement due to a multilevel system monitoring train parameters, infrastructure and driver’s actions.
- Save on energy usage, fuel, increase the resource of braking equipment due to optimisation of speed mode and braking process.
- Sufficiently reduce labour and financial costs for maintenance of movement safety equipment.
- Abandon “paper technologies” through the use of a contactless electronic device for recording and updating data about a trip via the radio channel.
- Switch to maintenance of safety equipment “based on actual condition” due to in-depth self-diagnostics and in-built signal simulators (without removing from the locomotive and using external stands).
