In December 2020, commercial commissioning of the boron concentration monitoring system based on NAR-I and NAR-I2 neutron solution analyzers was carried out at unit No. 5 of ZNPP.
The main function of the boron concentration monitoring system – automatic continuous measurement of boron-10 (boric acid) concentration in the coolant at NPP units with WWER-type reactors.
The data on the boric acid concentration is transmitted to personnel of the main control room and arrives to the local area network of ZNPP. The new-generation equipment is much more easy-to-use informative, allows computer archiving and processing data.
