ROLLING STOCK TECHNICAL CONDITION MONITORING SYSTEMS AKRO ARE IMPLEMENTED ON THE OBJECTS OF JSC “UKRAINIAN RAILWAYS”

SRPA “Impulse” supplies and implements equipment to monitor remotely rolling stocks AKRO within the framework of the project “Implementation of means of automatic monitoring of the rolling stock technical condition” with JSC “Ukrainian Railways” on the sections of Odesa, Lviv railways.

The purpose of the project is to implement the means applicable to provide automatic monitoring of the rolling stock technical condition on a moving train and to integrate them into the centralization system.

AKRO is a modern versatile complex of hardware and software designed for rolling stock diagnostics.

AKRO has the following basic functions:

• Hot Box Detection;
• Hot Wheel Detection.

AKRO-B consists of both station and wayside equipment. It allows a station dispatcher to operate up to 4 sets of AKRO wayside equipment at one workstation.

AKRO-B allows the operator to get:

• Information about trains (in real time or those that have passed earlier);
• Status of wayside equipment.

The introduction and integration of several sets into a single network makes it possible to implement a centralization system (ACRO-C) to serve a railway section, a regional railway or a national railway.

The main advantage of AKRO implementation is the following:

• Providing full information about the number of rolling stock units/axles, date and time of a rolling stock passing;
• Monitoring changes in the rolling stock condition in dynamics;
• Specifying notifications and alarms of each train passing;
• Monitoring the AKRO wayside equipment condition.
