On 29 December 2021, suburban trains started running in modernized Kyiv - Vasylkiv-2 Section. The given route is the first part of the large-scale Kyiv City Express Project. The project has been implemented within the framework of the President’s “Large Construction” Programme.
PJSC “SRPA “Impulse” acted as a general contractor for implementation of digital railway automatics and communication systems. Prior to equipment implementation, project documentation was developed and agreed, a room for an EC post in the form of a transportable module was built. According to the Contract, the following was installed at Vasylkiv-2 Station: an MPC-U modern digital interlocking system developed and manufactured by SRPA “Impulse”, a passenger sound notification system, a video surveillance system and information boards, digital and communication analog systems. ARMs for remote traffic control are installed at Vasylkiv-1 Station, and a semi-automatic block system based on axle counting is installed in Vasylkiv-1 Vasylkiv-2 Open Track.
It is expected that over 10 thousand inhabitants of Vasylkiv will be able to reach Kyiv by comfortable and eco-friendly electric transport due to implementation of this project.
