CENTRALIZED TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM HAS BEEN COMMISSIONED AT «POMICHNA — CHORNOLISKA» SECTION

Under a contract with JSC “Ukrainian railways”, financed using loans from EBRD, microprocessor based centralized traffic control system MDC-U has been commissioned AT "Pomichna — Chornoliska" section of Odessa railway.

This was preceded by work on the manufacture of equipment, the development of a detailed design and software, a set of system tests.

MDC-U complies with modern requirements for systems of this type. Its main features include:

• easy configurability for any track development due to the modular structure and implementation based on a single digital platform;
• possibility of linking with DC of other types via standard interfaces;
• security from cyber-attacks;
• high reliability and availability, because implemented hot redundancy of equipment;
• ease of maintenance and the possibility of eliminating the operation of routine maintenance by monitoring analogue, discrete signals and automated generation of reporting forms with subsequent analysis and detection of pre-failure conditions;
• implementation of functions for diagnosing signaling equipment (STDM).
