THE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT OF THE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM OF THE CONTROL AND PROTECTION SYSTEM WAS INTRODUCED INTO COMMERCIALLY COMMISSIONED AT KHNPP POWER UNIT No. 1

In August 2022, within the framework of the Complex (Consolidated) Safety Upgrade Program for Ukrainian NPP Units, the electrical equipment of the power supply system of the control and protection system (SEP SUZ) was put into commercially commissioned at KhNPP power unit No. 1.

The acceptance commission consisting of representatives of KhNPP, State Scientific and Technical Centre for Nuclear and Radiation Safety and PJSC «SRPA «Impulse», stated that the electrical equipment fully complies with the requirements of regulatory documents on nuclear and radiation safety of Ukraine. In the results of acceptance tests, the commission noted that the stage of trial operation of the electrical equipment of the SEP SUZ as part of a nuclear installation was completed with positive results and it is ready for commercially commissioned.

The electrical equipment of the SEP SUZ provides continuous power supply to the hardware complex of the control rod control system. It implements the latest technologies in terms of reliability, diagnostics, registration and archiving of events.

Based on the positive test results, it was decided to carry out the electrical equipment of the SEP SUZ into commercially commissioned.
