In April 2022, a commercial commissioning of the boron concentration monitoring system was carried out at unit № 3 of South-Ukraine NPP.
Acceptance commission consisting of representatives of the South-Ukraine NPP, State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU), JSC Kharkov Scientific Research & Design Institute "Energoproekt" and PJSC “SRPA” "Impulse" confirmed that system equipment is in full compliance with the requirements of technical conditions, project documentation and is ready for commercial commissioning.
The system includes 22 neutron analyzers of different types, registration and display devices, symbol indicators, fast neutron sources, sets of installation parts, technological and service equipment and also a set of hardware and software metrological support.
More than ten NPP units, including foreign ones, are equipped with similar systems. They are distinguished by: high measurement accuracy, good reliability of work in severe conditions of influence of external factors (gamma-radiation, electromagnetic interference, vibration, shock loads, etc.), and ease of operation.
Impulse specialists are working hard to improve engineering data and company’s performance regardless of the tightened requirements from both regulators and customers.
