THE INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL SYSTEM OF THE AUTOMATIC REGULATING SYSTEM OF THE REACTOR DIVISION NORMAL OPERATION SYSTEM IS INTRODUCED TO OPERATION AT KhNPP

The instrumentation and control system of the automatic regulating system of the reactor division normal operation system (I&C system of SAR of NOS RO) is introduced to trial operation at unit 2 of KhNPP.

The purpose of implementation I&C system of SAR of NOS RO is to replace outdated analog equipment with modern digital, which improves the quality and sustainability of regulation, increase the capacity utilization factor the operation of the power unit.

The I&C system of SAR of NOS RO, which has a triple redundancy, performs reception and processing of input signals, automatic regulating, formation of control actions to maintain technological parameters in accordance with specified algorithms, transfer of the necessary information to the unit’s process information system.

The composition of the I&C system of SAR of NOS RO:

• diagnostic and archiving server, SAR operator workstation is implemented based on PS5140 industrial workstations;
• MSKU-4 failsafe industrial controllers – 3 pcs.

Acceptance commission determined that the system equipment fully complies with the requirements of the terms of reference, regulatory, project documentation and decided to take it into trial operation.
