ACCEPTANCE TESTS OF SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE TOOLS FOR MODERNIZATION OF AUTOMATION SYSTEMS OF NPP POWER UNITS WERE CARRIED OUT

In November 2022, at the site of the SRPA “Impulse” in Kyiv, by a commission consisting of representatives of NNEGC “Energoatom”, State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safetyand and SRPA “Impulse”, carried out acceptance testing of the devices from the composition of software and hardware new generation for the modernization of the of automation systems of NPP power units.

The purpose of the modernization is to minimize and increase the reliability of the operation of automation system equipment through the use of modern components and digitalization of the control equipment for actuators, which will improve the safety of operation of power units and the capacity utilization factor.

The commission was presented with an industrial controller MSKU 4.33, which has a triple redundancy, and a cross cabinet Shkr-22.

Based on the results of the acceptance testing, conducted in according to the programme and the method agreed upon in the established manner, the commission confirmed that the devices fully complies with the requirements of the terms of reference, norms, rules and regulations for nuclear and radiation safety (including requirements for cyber security), as well as design, technological and operational documentation.

The Commission recommended the equipment for delivery to NPP power units as part of the normal operation control systems for reactor and turbine divisions and the of safety control system.
